150th Anniversary of St. Raphael's Chapel

The Chapel was opened in 1868 as a school and a place of worship.  To mark this significant anniversary there will be a service of celebration at 3pm on Sunday 23rd September led by the Bishop of Plymouth.  Everyone is welcome to share in this occasion.

There will also be an exhibition of items reflecting 150 years of history in the area including a fantastic display about tin mining at Brimpts Farm; farming and education in Victorian times; information about Huccaby races and what's happening on the moor today.  Exhibition starts on 14th September until Thursday 20th September.

Keep a look out for the Autumn edition of the Dartmoor Magazine which carries a two page spread about St. Raphael's.
